Job Description
The floor in this domestic property had seen better days. Years of wear had left it stained with water damage, and with significant gaps caused by expansion. Adding to the complexity, the client had recently removed a wall, leaving behind an ill-fitting timber insert from the builder. This poorly installed piece not only collected dirt but created a dangerous trip hazard. The client needed a solution that would not only restore the floor’s beauty but also make it safe and practical for their growing family.
We approached the project with our signature attention to detail. The ill-fitting timber across the floor’s width was carefully removed, and we sourced reclaimed Junkers flooring to achieve the best possible colour match. This sustainable choice ensured a seamless integration of the new timber with the original, preserving the character and charm of the floor.
The reclaimed boards were expertly installed to align with the existing joints, eliminating the trip hazard and creating a smooth, stable surface. Next, we undertook our comprehensive floor sanding, followed by filling and finishing the entire surface to achieve a flawless result. Using industry-leading techniques and materials, we transformed the worn, damaged floor into a beautiful and durable feature of the home.
